Love it. I have one with a single Franz. Sounds great plugged and unplugged. I’ve been able to get a wide range of sounds out of it in the studio. It’s light but projects well.
I've never owned one. Picked one up the other day for a few minutes and dug it. A stripped down, feels good, sounds good guitar. No frills. Like a thinner version of my X-50. Which is a very good thing.
I like my '60 T-50B quite a lot.
Useful, versatile and lots of character.......its been around the block....maybe spent time in a trailer park or some bars in South Carolina.
Lots of belly wear....no belt buckles.
On the other hand I should rein that in a bit....might be guilty of romanticized typecasting.
Thats a fun thing about playing old guitars with stories.
Yes it can get confusing when the new imported versions of old models are released....especially for us poor souls who are still stuck in New York and Hoboken!
The newer one. Thanks for the replays.
I've been trying to find another Guild acoustic to add for a bit of a different tone.
BUT this may be the direction to go.
They sure look very sweet. Not sure I want to get into a vintage one at this point.
I've been wanting a Guild slim T-50 for a long time, the new one. I've found two online , one of which I'm probably gonna pull the trigger on. But I find one thing confusing, one says it has a rosewood fretboard, the other one, ebony. Does anyone know anything about this? Do the early models of the reissue have rosewood, and they switched to ebony recently?
