Anyone else's S-100 missing side dots?

I always wondered what the deal was w/ mine (which is in storage at my mom's place in TX). It's a '72, as I remember, and there are no side dots on the neck binding (which is annoying when playing standing up!). Binding is definitely original. Is anybody else's like this or is mine just some sort of a factory error?

Otherwise, it's a pretty standard S-100: natural mahogany, pearloid block markers, Chesterfield, rectangle button Sta-tites, phase switch, small black pickguard, etc.

(sorry no pics)

I've never personally seen one, but send it to me...I'll give it a thorough inspection and send it right back...promise!

I'll sell you a couple of dots from my JS II. I never get that far up the neck anyway

No pics........how dare you! And who do you think you are leaving that thing in storage, and in Texas of all places! ;)

I have no idea about the dots on ones from that year. I know my S-90 from '72 has them. Seems strange an S-100 wouldn't.

Of course there is a really simple solution to the problem:

Just have the guys at rocknrollvintage.com draw some dots on it with a Sharpie.
