Anybody know of any repair shops that can redo a 50s silk screen logo? Any idea what they would charge for this?

Thanks,

Rich

Sentinel Custom Graphics used to sell replacement decals and transfers for Guild and other brand names but.... they got in trouble and that page is no longer in existence. You might contact them and see if they still sell them. Luthiersupply.com has replica logos for the big name brands, including Guild but they're all in abalone and mother of pearl and such. No decals or transfers.

Here's the website for Sentinel Custom Graphics: http://www.sentinelcustomgraphics.com/Pages/default.aspx

Here's for DePaule Luthier Supply: http://luthiersupply.com/replacement_logo/index.html

Hi Aristcrater, waited a day in case somebody knew of a current easy answer to your question, logos have always been a bit problematic especially that old.
You may want to look for an actual silkscreen shop, like the kind that makes printed tee shirts and other "schwag" with logos, to see if they could make an actual screen for you. I'm thinking if the logo's still there but just dinged up they should be able to replicate it by tracing or digital photo and transfer to paper for same purpose.
A plain stencil may even do the trick, unless it's one of those old "script" logos that might be real hard to cut.
Hope that opens up possibilities for you!
