Dreadnaught with Florentine cutaway. Surf green with abalone/white/black purfling and biding. Fancy inlays. Even has abalone around truss rod screws. Westerly label says G-75-C with serial number. Label on heel says "ONE OF ONE" and "CUSTOM SHOP' with illegible signature. Also "CUSTOM SHOP" near end pin. Mahogany back and side, spruce top, ebony board. 15 3/4" lower bout. Any help would be appreciated. I have many images.

G-75 was a Hank Williams JR Model. Sounds interesting, green and a cutaway. Corona built, maybe?

Wasn't there a G45 Hank Williams model too? Keep in mind that the handwriting on the labels wasn't always the best. Jaydee, what's the serial number and I'll look at the "Dating your Guild" PDF to see what year it might be.

Says its got a Westerly label. If it's truly a "one of one" as a Westerly (pre-Nashville)Custom Shop Build, it most likely "is what it says it is".
Westerly Guild Guitars has a G75 as a "3/4 size D50" in '75, which also would be age-appropriate for florentine cutaway.
What's puzzling is the reference to 'hog back/sides, might as well be a 3/4 size D40. Which, curiously enough, WAS Guild's first cutaway dread acoustic, with a florentine cutaway. But I thought it was '76. We saw the story here recently.
Ahhh..here it is:

Pics have to be hosted elsewhere and linked to here. LTG doesn't have enough server space to host photos itself.

Hello Jaydee,

Welcome! From your description I would say you have one of the early Custom Shop guitars that were done in Nashville. These were actually made with leftover bodies from the Fender Spring Hill facility. Most of these early guitars are 'one-of-a-kind' models that were basically put together to build an interest for the Guild Custom Shop, which had just started up. If you have what I think it is, the guitar should be from 1997.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

Jaydee,
welcome to LTG! Hans told you already what it is but I guess we all would love to see pictures of your special guitar and the label! Hope you can provide a link to see them.

And the Hank Williams model was a G45. The G75 was a smaller, 3/4 sized dread as mentioned earlier.

Well you have to give Steve, (Default) a break. He's been out in the hot sun all day traipsing around Philly. Nobody's mind would work right after that!

Hey, look at all the corrective posts I've generated.

You don't get quality post-padding opportunities like this every day!;-)
