This one in Newsyland.

Arrived a couple of days ago from its previous home in the Netherlands. Year 2000 production, and what a honey. Just enough quilting in the top, and my favourite black.

And, as yet, unplayed by moi ! It will be my reward after the completion of a couple of projects that I have here to finish off.

A cow of a thing to photograph outdoors, with my cheap kit, so I've borrowed a photo. from a nice gentleman in the Netherlands and taken a couple of indoor shots.

Man Coastie, the quilting on the top is just beautiful! I like the black, too.

Play it in good health!

Hi Sandy, and thank you. I guess you must have received your B90 at around the same time that I got mine.

I'm interested in "developments" in your quest for a case. The Bluesbird case also fits deArmond S-72 style guitars like a glove. I'm on the lookout for a case for my S-72, and there may well be others here who also need one.

The case was shipped today, and I should have it on Monday. I'm praying that it'll fit. If it doesn't, Hans has a rather more expensive solution...

Just out of curiosity, measure the lower bout on your B90. I keep coming up with 14", which is probably why that other one didn't fit at 13 3/4". It's a shame too, because it's a nicer case than the one I have on order.

Yes, lower bout on my Blues 90 and Bluesbird is 14".

BUT both cases measure 13 3/4" to the plush. Since the plush compresses readily the guitar is a nice firm fit. The plush on "the other case" wouldn't compress ?

Indeed. The Gator case is expanded polystyrene (aka styrofoam) underneath the plush. No give there. I'm also a little concerned about the upper bout. The case I bought lists 10", and my measurements show it to be 10 and a wee bit. Hopefully there will be a little give in this new case. I might do some low-tech mods if not!

I also like this finish but have not owned a guitar with it yet. Every time I see a guitar in that color I wonder if you will chase it.

Well it looks like you got a pretty great set in the Transparant Charcoal (TC) finish. Did you ever think about adding a late 1980's or early 1990's X160T or is it X161 (model number depends on the year) to your collection in the TC finish? This is the less ornate X170T model with dot fret markers, no binding on the neck, chrome hardware and Guild bigsby. I ahve been watching one for months waiting for the price to drop below $1200. Interested?

coastie,
Well your safe. After I posted that info for you I checked on the guitar. It was gone. It had been on the GC online stoe for used equipment for the last few months but it finally sold.

Your safe.
