I have an amberburst GAD-30R. I bought it used off another forum, so had no choice of color. I like it fine soundwise but really wish it were antique burst. Now I see that Musicians Friend had their amberburst GAD-30Rs on clearance and they don't show on the Guild site.

Are amberbursts falling totally out of favor? Does anyone prefer them?

And, do they change color over time like the natural tops darken?

Can't tell you about your top, but sure would be nice to have a picture of your Braz. Larrivee. I think there are quite a few Larrivee owners here, as well....Steffan 8)

Well, here you go Steffan.

My Larrivée is not very flamboyant for Brazilian. Very straight grained. I was not even sure it was Braz but Brian Trepanier at Larrivée confirmed that it was. It is a wonderful guitar though.

What a beauty! She must just sing. Like Guilds, I've never met a Larrivee I haven't loved. Is it a Canadian or U.S. made model, any idea of its age. Has it got a p.u. in it? It looks like a joy to be holdin'.... :D maybe you ought to wrap the rubber on those stands in leather or some other, non reacting with the finish material, just to be safe. Regards Steffan

I had a GAD JF-48 in Amberburst and could never get to like the color.
It was a great sounding guitar but it just never grew on me.

I guess that I'm just a natural top kind of guy.

Thank you, Steffan. It was made in Vancouver in 1991 and has an L.R. Baggs LB6 pickup.
