So here's a clip of tomlin's revamped version of amazing grace, that me+my friend performed in church on sunday. Not the greatest quality recording, but it still captures some of the guild awesomeness. Please ignore the closeups of my face (my dad was recording ). I'm on guitar.

Very nice! Thanks for sharing. I do like that version from Chris Thomlin. I do lots of his stuff at my church too, but haven't tried that one. (yet)

I'd love to hear some of you guys play...maybe we could start a "here's a song I totally rock at" thread? It'd improve my technique, too.

Lovely harmony Deepak. Your voice blends so well with your friend.

Thank you.

Pretty awesome Deepak, I love it....some Doyle Dykes style fingerwork there too.

Some of the guys have posted several clips in various places for you to watch. Guildmark has posted some, I know Frosty and Steelpickin' have too. Those guys are fabulous. Some of us more modestly talented people have some things that Graham has been kind enough to post for us in "LTGers Only"........"Jammin' at the Arlington Yacht Club".

Great job,
West

How about a "Here's a song I totally suck at" thread. That way I won't feel any pressure.

That remark hits kinda close to home right now. I've been spending some time with my Yamaha AW16G tonight & recorded about 30 seconds of a tune (multiple tracks) just to get a feel for some of the features. What a.....

Thanks West. Part of the problem is volume. The family is in bed, & even though my "music" room is insulated pretty well, (still don't have the acoustic tile ceiling up yet) the sound carries & I don't feel like I can open up & project my voice. Need to plan recording sessions when I'm home alone........which isn't often. :?

Man...I spent like 3 hrs last night reading/listening to that arlington yacht club thread. You guys are amazing. Unfortunately, the only song I knew already was annie's song, lol.

Singular, but ditto, except for the likelyhood that he will choose to sleep in whatever case is open because I have a bass (instead of the cat) in my lap.
