Question for the hive mind. As Guild is shipping S-100s in gig bags and no longer offers HSCs for them can anyone suggest an aftermarket case? Thanks in advance!
I had my '70s one in one of those Gibson-style body outline shaped generic Strat cases. It wasn't a terrific case, nor was it a "pretty" fit, but it happened to hit a couple points dead on inside, such that it was tight w/o flopping around. I wouldn't pay the $50-60 it'd probably take to buy a new one, but worth a $25 snag from a case sale somewhere in the absence of an alternative.
Depending on where you are, (and if they’ve been affected by COVID), Music-Go-Rounds usually have a decent selection of used cases. If you’re near one, bring it and just see if any fit well (or well enough).
I thought I had mine in an SG case but I could be wrong - I sold mine a year or so ago. The case could have been a generic.
