So my wife and I started watching NCIS, which we never saw before and apparently actor Michael Weatherly is a Guild fan.
I had read that the actor Michael Weatherly composed music too, so I went a youtubing. I came across a vid of him wielding what I think is an F-50. I also saw a vid of him with what I think is an early 60s Duane Eddy DE-500 on his back wall.
This mag cover shows a better pic. It does have the Guild white Dearmonds, but it doesn't have the fancier inlays with abalone. It also has a stairstep pickguard which I've never seen on a Dearmond-equipped model, although this could be from the '63-'64 transition era. From my blow up, it looks like it has the Duane Eddy screen siggy on it.
Please correct me if I'm wrong about both of these models. I'm certainly not an expert on either. Either way, who knew? Pretty cool!
