Got mine today as well. They don't seem to have the most consistent delivery schedule. Mine seem to arrive within a 10 to 12 day window.

Nice to hear from you, J-the-L!
Hope you're still dancing!

I might be a "Loafer" but I still go to as many dances as I can, usually 1 or 2 a week. Still ain't worth a damn though. Still out of work after a full year. It's really depressing.

Going to see BB King on the 6th here in the 'Ham. Should be a great show. I wonder if I could get a gig carrying Lucille?

Yes, I'm guessing it will be a good show, Red & I saw BB King here about a month ago. Big band kind of ambiance; Tuxedos, nice brass section, Had front row center seats. BB's older'n dirt, but a great showman, he autographed my book & gave me an official BB King guitar pick. .

Jeff, how hard was it to see BB in person? Does he have a meet & greet after the show? I would love his autograph. I have a 3'x2' poster of BB when he was very young(early 20's) I think. He is holding his old archtop & has an old amp that has the radio staion intials on it. I have it mounted on a hard piece of plastic & don't know if it would be feasabile to get it into the show & have him sign it. What kind of book do you have? Maybe I can cop a pick also. The dude is old & may not make it here again. I missed him about 5 years or so back at the same theater he will be playing at.

Jake,

We were sitting front row, not ten feet from BB sitting in his chair. BB closed out the show by tossing a handfull of picks along the edge of the stage, a couple burly security fellas materialized. I leaned over, picked up a pick & Red handed the book to a security guy. BB signed it & spent probably 10-15 minutes signing autographs. Crowd got a bit sardineish after the first 5 minutes.

BB has an autobiography "Treasures" my mother in law gave me a copy several years ago. Interesting read, has copies of posters, old tickets & the like & comes with an audio CD.

:D Got my mag today. I like to get in bed & read thru it before I fall asleep.

Jeff. I'm in the center floor but in row R so I doubt I'll be able to catch a pick. That book you linked is out of stock. Hopefully I can get an autograph on my ticket stubb & put it on my poster.

BB and Freddie (No relation) used to play a local club here about twice a year about the time I was getting out of high school.....mid 70's. We didn't miss either of them......it was age 18 to get into one of the tonks back then. Freddie died in '76.....born in Gilmer, Texas of all places.
