I didn't know what a G&L was so googled and then went on to read a little about Leo Fender on Wikipedia. I was very surprised to learn that Mr. Fender never learned to play guitar. I would have made the assumption that anyone that involved with guitars would play. At least a little. I guess the ability to play doesn't matter?
