Reflecting on 9/11 - I will never forget - but my sense of hope for the human race outweighs my rage against the madness that sometimes envelopes us.
I learned this song long ago; I was immediately drawn back to it on 9/11/01, and many, many times since. It has come to be my personal response to the events of that day. The words are beautiful and pleading given the backdrop of 9/11. Elton John made it famous, but I thought it only appropriate to post the version as done by the original author and artist, Leslie Duncan (she sang a duet with Elton on his "Tumbleweed Connection album.)
