I just wanted to share a couple of my favorite solid bodies. Not quite like the original but they've scratched the itch for me. Some day I'd love to have an original.

First is a '99 DeArmond Jetstar. In '99 or '00 VH1 Save the Music Foundation was blowing these out for $169 plus $20 shipping . My only regret was not buying more . It may well be my favorite guitar as its the one I most often reach for. Its heavy but constructed well and the DeArmond USA Goldtones are fantastic !!

The other is a 2017 Newark St. Tbird ST. I found this on Reverb used and for the price I couldn't pass it up! White guitars are so cool !! This one is significantly lighter than the DeArmond . The LB pickups are great and I like how different they sound from the Goldtones. The simplicity of the controls is a big plus but what really impressed me was the fret work ... absolutely flawless!! This guitar punches way above its weight!!

I have two T-Birds; a recent issue black one with all the switches, and the white one you have. I love them both. Years ago (decades ago), I had two original S-200s, both of which I sold.

Oh cool! As odd looking as they are they really are quite comfortable to play . I'd love to get an original but they're getting pretty pricey these days

The bird inlay on the Dearmond seems to be a bit more defined or sharper.

Which one are the older ones more like ?

Yes the bird inlay is definitely more defined on the DeArmond ... yet the headstock shape(top) is much softer or less pronounced

There’s on of those NS single coil models near me for sale for $450. They won’t budge on the price though.

P90's ? If in excellent condition $450 seems like a fair price . My NS is a really well made guitar and the fret work is top notch
