file this under "sightings", i guess.

i really like A.A. Bondy's new release, When the Devil's Loose. for acoustics, he apparently exclusively plays Martins. however, when plugged in he goes with a Guild Starfire.

Way cool pix. But the first guitar is a Hoboken T-100D with a replacement bridge, not a Starfire. The last pic shows a different guitar, a same era T-100 with one pickup.

Two different guitars? Pics 1 and 2; guitar has 2 pickups. Pic 3; could have one or two ...hand in the way. Pick 4; only one pickup?

Nice tunes. Thanks for posting ac1dt3st. I'd never heard of A.A. Bondy before, though I'd heard of, but not heard Verbena. The T-100s are so fitting for that Americana/alt country sound and the same with the Hofner Club Bass--just perfect.

BTW, I wonder what's holding that TOM bridge to the soundboard on that 2-PU model? Just screwed into the top?

I love AA Bondy! I'm a big fan of Verbena too. Souls for Sale is still one of my favorite albums of all time. Bondy's new stuff is great. I live in Birmingham so when he plays here, there's usually a good crowd. I saw him play for his first album, American Hearts, and I was thrilled to see him playing that T-100. That was like the icing on the cake for me... one of my favorite musicians using my favorite guitars! He's got a big tour lined up right now, but I can't wait for Nov 10th, when he comes back through here. :D

Great pics and beautiful guitars, I also noticed that besides the nice T100D with Micky Mouse pickups( that date the guitar to 1966-1967 era) the other more battered Guild is actually a T100 with one Micky Mouse pickup, presumably from the same years..

Another fantastic band that I love very much using that T100d with a bigsby and the same pickups is CORAL, the british group from Liverpool playing a haunting mix of Sixties influenced beat-pop-folk-psych music. Their 5 albums are equally stunning, check them out on You Tube..
