I was just out in Pleasant Hills, CA on business and I had some time to kill so I stopped in at the local Guitar Center. For anybody that lives in that area, they are selling a flawless Tacoma D50 Bluegrass Special for $800 bucks. Its a used instrument, but it is flawless. I was very tempted to bring it back east with me. The store is right off off Contra Costa Blvd. I can't remember the name of the street but it was within walking distance of the Best Western Hotel that I was staying in.

Firebirs,

This is a great guitar at a great price Wish I had room for another Guild but another purchase will land me on Divorce Court TV. Hope some lucky and deserving Guild mate finds her.

For some reason, some of the posts on this thread were lost. The Guitar Center store that I played this instrument at was located in Pleasant Hills, CA which is located near Oakland just south of the town Concord. It was just off of I-680. The guitar was visually flawless with a decent set of strings on it. Needless to say, it sounded great. If you get there and its sold, then check out their Martin D18GE for $1480.

Some GCs are much better than others when it comes to used instruments. In the L.A. area, the flagship store on Sunset Blvd. and Pasadena stores always have something cool in their used inventory, the Sherman Oaks store never has anything, and if they do it is way overpriced (of course, this is the same store that offered me $300 for my Gretsch Silver Anniversary because it was "old"). Some GCs just have better management than others, much more customer friendly.

One of the best buys in recent memory was a great old Westerly F-212 for $800 at the Sunset store.
