Looks like a nice guitar. The description makes for an interesting read. Here's part of it:

"QUALITY CONTROL WAS UNSURPASSED DURING JD’S INVOLVEMENT {69 TO 76} WITH THE WATERLOO PLANT. THIS IS EVIDANCED BY THE SUCCESS AND REPUTATION OF GUILD GUITARS THROUGHOUT THE SEVENTIES.

IN MY 35 YEARS OF PLAYING, MY EXPERIENCE TELLS ME, “QUALITY” OR THE “DISIPATION OF QUALITY” IS NO "CONSPIRACY THEORY". PRE 78 GUILDS WERE GREAT SOUNDING PLAYABLE GUITARS, AFTER 78 FINANCIAL CORPORATE HARDSHIPS LED TO “CUTBACKS”.

IN 86, THE STRUGGLING GUILD WAS SCAVANGED BY AN “INVESTMENT GROUP”. AS WE ALL KNOW, INVESTORS LIKE TO MAKE A PROFIT. LOL

FENDER nolongeraffiliatedwithleo MUSICAL INSTRUMENT CORPORATION BOUGHT THE REMAINS OF THE FLOUNDERING GUILD CO. IN 95 AND HAS SUCCESFULLY TURNED THE ONCE GREAT GUILD GUITAR INTO THE COMPLETE OVERWEIGHT, OVER-GLUED, MACHINE MADE, GARBAGE THAT IT IS TODAY.
"

Ummm. What?

Nice-looking G-37, though. But I think I prefer the Westerly models over those from Waterloo.

"...FENDER nolongeraffiliatedwithleo..."

Really?
Then why do they pay all that money to use the name?

Yeah I get it: the pre-CBS Guilds were better, that's why Jimi and SRV loved them.

Not really the first year of G-37s... Hans mentions '72 (and there's a '72 on GBase). Very similar to my '74, and I'd expect the same mellow tone and clarity. In fact, I just checked the SN... it corresponds to '74, a bit YOUNGER than mine.

Does look like she's in pretty decent shape. Hard to see the saddle, but looks like there's some room (ask questions about action and relief before bidding!). One of the tuning machines is non-original... noted in auction (if anyone here goes for this, I have a spare set of tuning machines to bring it back to original... a couple are slightly pitted, but one should be in decent enough shape).

Could be a nice one at a good price (under $600 would be a very good deal, IMO).

Party to that would be that make-a-quick-buck investor George Gruhn, wouldn't it? He has a high profile reputation in another area too.
