That's a nice looking Guitar Pidge! Congrats! I got lucky enough to find one of the 2 or 3 New Hartford made Adi topped D55's brand new years ago. Love the tone from it. Hope you enjoy yours for a long time.

Dude! Welcome back!

In what world would you get 25% off a limited edition guitar? As an aside, this market tends to hold value. It wouldn't to me, but a lot of folks love these.

Best of luck with your recovery, Pidge. Age should work in reverse - so you feel better as you get older, darn it!

Anyone who has really compared side by side the 70th anniversary with the D55 regular and can share his experience?
I own a 2023 D55 and I am very interested to know the differences from sound and playability wise!
Many thanks!

If anyone can help, it'll likely be someone here on LTG.

However, I suspect few of us have had the luxury of being in the same room with a 70th Anniversary and regular D55 at the same time. (Same room? I'm not sure there's a 70th Anniversary in the same State!)

Yeah, I'm not sure if there are any left out there, Ray. Maybe give Guild a call and see if they can point you in the right direction.

Reverb shows three available in the US, though one has been bumped up $1000 in price and one is listed with a questionable 2024 build date.
