68 F-20: pick guard question

See Reverb listing for a 1968 F-20 (no affiliation) - I’ve not seen an early style D-25/35 pickguard on an F-20 before - is that ‘normal’? Makes sense year wise…

I don't think we have seen that before on an F-20, but if i am not mistaken, 1968 is the first year for that pickguard. So, anything is possible.
