I bought a new Deluxe Bluesbird/Aristocrat at that time in Seattle. Black with gold hardware. "Bluesbird" on the truss cover IIRC. They reportedly only made this particular version those two years; hollow acoustic type construction, not a milled out body, Deluxe model, totally black Ebony board with block inlays.

I did a bad thing, I cut a hole in the top for a third pickup! DUH. I know ....ugh! The LP Black Beauty with the 3 pickups were popular then and I had to!
Anyway, I'm just reaching out.... if anyone sees that guitar let me know! Should be fairly easy to ID it. I've always wondered where it ended up.

Our member parsox has a solid body one but from a little bit younger. But it was a factory shipped 3 pickup try-out!
Just for interest, here was the thread when he restored her: https://letstalkguild.com/ltg/index.php?threads/71-72-m75.172022/

Hans showed in that thread a picture of one like you had, but his is aloso a factory made try-out with natural top:

Can't remember such hollow one in black however. And as you said, you cut the 3rd hole in the top.

Yeah, interesting. That one has the DeArmond tailpiece, but the Guild headstock, so just before the official change I guess. And as you said it's a solid body.
