I recently picked up a really nice '65 T-50 with one chrome pickup with pole pieces in the neck position.

This is the pickup (I think) shown in the center picture on p. 32 on Hans' book.

Is this pickup a single-coil, a humbucker or a P-90? Were they made by Guild?

In trying to ID this myself, I have seen this pickup described at least once as each of the above and also described as a DeArmond. So I'm pretty confused, man.

The e-Bay listing pix are the best I can do....

I'm trying to figure out how to hang on to this one. It was a wonderful sound with or without an amp. I put some PB 13's on it, and it has a big acoustic sound with those. Looks much nicer than the pix show, too.

My understanding is that those are single coil pickups that were assembled by Guild from coils made by a supplier in their area, and that they are similar to a P90 in sound. I haven't had the pleasure of playing a guitar equipped with those pickups as of yet. What do you think of it ?
