Time for a long shot. No idea if anyone here plays lap steel. Just in case, here's the deal. I have a late 50s Fender Stringmaster D8 console steel. A double neck. Refin (and well done) to a natural finish. 22 1/2 scale. All parts original to the best of my knowledge. Blade p/u selector, blend wheel on both necks. Tweed case, worn but function. All legs accounted for. Everything works just as it should. I have to confirm the build date. Means pulling one or both tuner pans, so I've been putting this off ... based on the tweed case and various features, I'm guessing it's a '59, maybe early 60s at the latest.

Pics available on request.

These are mighty cool steels, for sure. But my curiosity about Guilds will not quit. Should you have one of these, I'd be interested in trading, plus or minus cash:

X-170
X-150
X-50
T100
T50

On the older guilds, I'm most interested in anything with a Franz or Mickey Mouse p/u. Also, looking for local action. I'm in north jersey, spend time in southwest VT too. Anywhere within a reasonable drive of those areas.
