I was attempting to pull the knob off and I obviously pulled too hard! The stinking shaft came loose. Anybody holding?
Yep, that’s what I meant. I’ll post a picI assume you mean a period correct same model as the original, yes?
Ummm huh? I guess I could try… right!Put it back together?
If it pulled out I would think the “keyhole” that held it on could very well be damaged.Ummm huh? I guess I could try… right!
The one listed on Reverb doesn’t look the same. I’m going to wait for an exact period correct replacement. If one doesn’t pop up, I’ll just replace it with a new one. Thanks Rambozo961974 Stackpole 500k pot. Close enough I would think. https://reverb.com/item/64478305-st...are&utm_campaign=listing&utm_content=64478305
I did, if I hold it down tight and turn it, it sometimes catches. Otherwise it will just spin freelyYou've tried pushing it back in I take it.
It’s sticking out just a little bit higher due to the damage,Does it stick out like that or is that from it being damaged?

I believe the concern is the knurled shaft bit isn’t totally correct. One could use some measures to make this work but at that point just get a new CTS/Bourns pot for the time being until the correct one shows up.
