While the original pickups would have been OK, there's no reason to lament their loss aside from the collectibe "all original" nature of the guitar, but even then that wouldn't likely only matter to someone like me who would want to review it as it came from the factory. They're not collectible and not really sought-after. I bet those SD pickups sound fabulous.

Looking at the wiring it looks each push/pull is a coil-split for each pickup. Those look like old CTS push/pull pots to me. They're possibly period-correct, but unless @hansmoust says otherwise, I don't think they'd be original to the guitar. I bet that tone cap is, though. :)

I believe those Duncans should be the SH-1 neck and SH-4 bridge, they are somewhat standard (well regarded), if so

Those green push pull pots are the same as the tone pot in my 87 Nightbird. And yes, CTS made.
Those pots are the same type as also used by Fender in 70's Twins, Pro's, etc, for master volume, the pull out used for a gain boost in the amps. I think the amps used the solid shaft version however and the guitars the split shaft version. Interesting enough almost all split shafts I have seen for sale had a datecode from 1981 Week 37. (Full marking 021 R1378137). And they were 500kohms log. (in my guitar it measures 580kohms however). You rarely find any for sale today. Not sure if Guild ever used them.

The green (usually Korean made) tone capacitor is also what Guild used.

no, the bridge PU is a Jeff Beck wound by Maricela Juarez as is the Alnico II in the neck position.
The JB is also called SH-4. At least that is what I read on the SD page:
The APH-1N is the mentioned Alnico II Pro for the neck position:

Ah, I see! Thanks for the clarification!

I met MJ quickly at NAMM back in 2013 as I asked her regarding the Franz copies she made for the GSR T-500 model. She is such a funny person, a legend similar to Fender's Abigail Ybarra.

Mentioning Abigail. I love that picture on MJ's FB site, showing her, Seymour and Abigal. Three legends. And even a Guild in the picture!
