Hi folks - Does anyone know of where I can determine the value of my 1998 AAA Bluebird? I am thinking of selling it and need to have a sense of what they go for these days. Thanks.

On Reverb search for “Guild Bluesbird”. Edit the search to only return guitars from 1990’s and 2000’s. This shows current “asking” prices.

Edit the search to only return sold listing. This should return a larger number and I think shows actual “sold” prices. Look for one similar and if you go to Product Specs it shows you how long ago it was listed. Your range will vary depending on condition, features, year variation and desirability.

You should price it to account for any listing site selling and payment fees (8-10%), whatever buyer haggle/offers you will accept (10-15%) and of course a shipping charge. A lot of those are dependent on where you list it.

Here ya go…

We have debated whether the Reverb search returns the actual sale price or merely the price the seller had listed at the time they closed the listing. I thought the consensus was the latter but there can be a big gap between what I remember LTG saying was happening and what Reverb actually does.

I think you are correct. It may have been at one time they showed the actual sold price or at least that an offer was accepted, but it does seem like now it is the last listing price. So if they had originally listed it for say $2000, but then put it on sale for $1700, it would show the last price as $1700 even though they may have accepted $1500.

It absolutely does not actual show the sold price if an offer was accepted

Thanks for that filtering info - very handy!
