Looking to sell a beautiful 1986 Guild F-44 “amber” (noted on the label), designed by George Gruhn. Comes with original case. I was going to sell this last year around this time, but changed my mind. In the time since it's had a neck reset so it has plenty of saddle. Most of the pictures were taken just before the reset. The last picture shows the saddle how it currently is.

Some finish checking, but it's never bothered me. I tried to capture it with the pictures. There are also three plugged holes where electronics used to be. There is a working under saddle pickup. Body depth at end pin is 4 1/2” and lower bout is 16”. I was lucky enough to get this from an LTG’r and would love to keep it in the LTG family. My investment in this guitar is well more than the $1999. I'm asking. Shipping to the lower 48 is included in the price. I know it's a fairly rare model, I believe about 250-300 were made, and far, far less in amber. I've never seen another amber one, and only two F44's of any kind show up in past reverb sales. This is number 247.

I’m in the Boston area.

Magnificent guitar. Perfect size right in between an F30 and dread. And man, look at that wood!

I know. I love the size of this guitar. The F30 size I could never gel with as much as I’ve tried. The wood is stunning

I can vouch for the all-around wonderfulness of an F44 (and the "amber" finish).
Curious! You are the only other amber F44 I've heard of. Where does yours fall number wise with mine?

Whatares the lower bout width and depth? An exceptionally beautiful maple guitar. May I ask why are you offering it for sale?

That's nice, Heath. It is very much like my 1972 F-40 maple which is 16" lower bout and 5" depth. I really like the depth as it affords a fulsome growl to the bass. Yours is excellent too, especially for fingerpicking, though strumming I'm sure is excellent as well. Good luck with the sale! You have a really nice guitar there, and rare too.

Mine is KH100075 from 84. Actually came in here to do research to value mine lol. I shot a great comparison between this and a J185 last year I think and guess which guitar I still have? GLWS!
