I am very pleased to share another great guild with the LTG community. This is a D66 from 1984, low serial number #11. These 1980s guilds are so special from the George Gruhn/Kim Walker Era. Records show 208 built in total from 84-86. It's one of the best sounding guilds I have ever played. I have some of the best rosewood guilds ever made, here at the house, to compare it too, and it has monster tone, volume, and bass output. It's much lighter than my 97 D55. The weight feels similar to a 65 D50BRW I currently have. Enjoy the photos and thanks for looking!! For all of the photos of the D66, and the Nashville Custom Songbird, please visit my site: https://guildacoustics.com/vintage-and-rare-gallery

That's one I want to hear audio clips from. I'm sure I can't afford it, even if I loved it. But, I gotta' know.

I once owned one of these, great guitar but I also owned a D55 and aD60 that sounded better and I presently own a Martin, that, when purchased took the place of the D66. The construction was immaculate, the sound, although very good, wasn’t what I would consider top of the line.
