There's a '81 Starfire in France that I could possibly acquire... I have a finnish enabler living over there so it kind of makes the deal tempting. There are a few things that worry me though. Like the missing paint in the neck. And the fact that he's asking 1900e for it. What do you guys think of this SFIV? Hello Muovinen,

It's not exactly cheap and did you realize that the guitar does not have its original pickups any longer?

Sincerely,

Yes, Hans, I just noticed that the pup rings are missing one adjustment screw and the covers are non-original too. That's a big turn off.

Yeah I wouldn't have paid that price anyway. I'll keep waiting for the right one and sell some stuff out of the way in the meanwhile. btw, I'm not scared to buy from overseas. Made a good deal with my S-100 Deluxe previously thanks to some forum enabling :)

Have to agree, that's pretty expensive for the shape it's in. I'd wait
I have an SF4 of the same vintage.

Amazing example Bob!

There's another Starfire IV in perfect condition and with OHSC for 3000e in France :p That's way too much money for any guitar I'd ever buy. I'm not a collector, my guitars are tools.

PS: it seems like I'll be able to sell my Tokai pretty quickly out of the way...
