**SOLD**
I decided to let this one go because it's pretty much the same guitar as my D-46 that I've had for 21 years. They sound and play very much alike. I don't think you'll find a better D-50 from this era, it's a good one.
It is Guild D-50 in Antique Sunburst. Pretty scarce, the only one I've ever seen. Close-grained spruce top, very pretty EIR back/sides, ebony bridge and fret board.
Excellent condition for a 41-year old guitar. A couple of scratches here and there, that's it. The worse one is on the top, on the bass side of the bridge. You might be able to spot it in one of the photos. Fret wear is extremely minor, I don't think this one has been played much. A few small dings around the edge of the headstock, and the gloss finish has lifted a bit under the tuners on the front, cosmetic only. There are some chips in the gloss finish along the edge of the neck where the ebony meets the mahogany, both sides; again, cosmetic only.
The nut is 1 11/16", and the neck feels "medium" to me. The string spacing at the bridge is 2 1/4", and the scale is just over 25.5". Neck angle is good, plenty of saddle there.
It comes with the OHSC. The interior is at least VG. The exterior has some dings and dents, but the handle is good and all the latches are intact.
Hard to know where to price this, but there were two of them with natural tops and not nearly as nice on the Denver CL recently and both were priced at over $2K. I've got this one at **SOLD** plus $100 shipping.
I would consider a trade for something along the lines of a Martin (or other) 12-fretter, 00 or 000. I've got too many dreads, would like to try something smaller. Let me know what you've got. I can + / - cash.
Check out the link to my CL ad, better photos there (that first one below is kind of dark):
