Up for sale is a really great Guild D-35, built in Westerly, RI in 1972. It's in excellent shape for its age and has the very balanced tone that Guild's are known for. 50+ years of breaking in have only added to the "woodiness" of the sound as well.

This particular D-35 is set up very nicely, with action at the 12th fret coming in at 5/64" on the low E, and just slightly lower than 2/32" on the high E. I will note that the saddle doesn't really have any room left to be lowered, but with the action being where it is a neck reset is still a ways off...I imagine some might even want to raise the action for heavier strumming.

Cosmetically it has the typical dings, scratches, and other signs of play wear that you would expect on a guitar of this age, but no cracks or other issues to speak of. Guitar is all original, including the beautiful (full height) Brazilian rosewood bridge. The only mod is that a K&K Pure Mini was installed, which sounds great. Nut width is 1 11/16", while string spacing at the bridge is 2 1/8".

Comes with an older hardshell case, unsure if it is original to the guitar or not.

Asking $1,000 shipped, no trades please

Very nice example of a very versatile workhorse dreadnaught. Good luck with sale.

I have a '71 D35 that looks almost exactly like this one and it is a fantastic guitar - even, woody, and resonant. Highly recommend this model in this time period. Good luck with the sale.
