The pickups on these are very underrated in my opinion, especially in the hollow body, and particularly those early ones. There is definitley a sweet spot, dial it in on the bass and the amp, set it and forget it! This one also has the later larger headstock, together with the earlier 3-line Chesterfiled and "Hoboken" TRC. There's a few of these transitional variants around, but not too many on a SF bass. The "maple-walnut" is also not often seen (makes me want to go to Stewart's and get a milkshake!) And of course if one absolutley needed the Novak BS/DS pickups, that is a very easy and reversable swap on this beast. Very cool example, GLWTS (and make sure you don't want to keep her!)
