And again, we see how being a moderator makes you more believable than a "regular" LTGer...

I suspect it has more to do with how and when posts are displayed. If I had been paying better attention, other than my comment about Roman numerals in Starfire history, I said nothing you didn't, and you said it first. Maybe it's a credibility thing? There are posters who were present when my Avatar photo was taken.

:)

And I have to admit that with the new software I am not as aware of where threads are located so I am guilty (GUILTY!!!!!) of violating my moderation standards concerning veers in FS/FT. I suppose I could just edit the OP and then delete the clutter...

Well, I must admit, you are more credible than me!

Just had to get this in before you delete it!

I have not! Tempting.

GAD, might I suggest the current Starfire IV 12 string for a review. It is more obtainable and has a 1 3/4" width at the nut. That is one feature that I am glad wasn't carried over from the vintage. That and the trapeze tailpiece that loads from the bottom. The current version is more user friendly in both of these regards.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I like the harp tail.

I like the looks. I do not like restringing on tailpieces that make you load from the bottom. Gretsch had the right idea with a block on top of the tailpiece that is easy to string through.
