Sold 1967 Starfire X11

Well, I've had my fun with a bunch of electric gear so I've been steadily selling quite a few of them. I'll be keeping several but it's time to concentrate on cash or more acoustics.

$1,600 + shipping (likely $75 or so). Payment by personal check or Postal Money order. Will also consider a trade for a nice acoustic. +/- cash either way would be fine for the right guitar.

I believe that is correct Gary. In other words, basically unplayable, for me anyway. I have a hard enough time with 1 5/8" nuts on six strings. But Guild wasn't the originator of that, I think Rickenbacker was already doing it.

One more advantage of being a crappy guitar player. Nut width is not really an issue for me.

My '66 SF XII had a 1 5/8" nut. Sounded great, but not fun to play.

It's not really wisdom. When you are a bass player interested in Starfires you get used to Roman numerals, Starfire I and II not 1 and 2 and then you realize Guild stuck with the Roman numerals, generally.
