I really hate having to do this,
but the time and necessity has arrived.
My 1967 cherry red Starfire I bass is up for sale.
And, I am listing it here in the LTG forum first, in order to give my fellow Guild lovers the first opportunity .
The finish is really beat.
Also, it has non original volume and tone knobs.
The good news is that there are absolutely NO structural breaks or cracks or repairs to the body or neck or headstock.
The Hagstrom Bisonic pickup was recently disassembled at Scipio Guitars in NYC and sent
to Lindy Fralin Pickups where it was rewound.
It was then sent back to Scipio Guitars were it was reassembled and tested to measure a very healthy output of 8.85 K .
It was then reinstalled at Fret Tech here in NJ .
It plays and sounds beautiful !
While waiting for the rewind of the Hagstrom PUP, I also bought a brand new Darkstar I PUP.
I had Deans connectors installed on both the PUPS.
Another words, both of these pickups are easily interchangeable in less then 5 minutes time.
Each individual pickup has it own unique tone and personality .
The Starfire I bass is $1350.00
If you also want the extra Darkstar pickup, you can have that for $150.00, it is less then 3 months old and has about 2 hours of play time on it.
The bass comes with a non original hardshell case.
I will ship it anywhere in the Continental USA for $60.00 with insurance.
If the costs are less then that, I will refund you back the difference.
You are welcome also to pickup in person to save on the shipping costs.
I live in North Jersey.
Please contact me ONLY if you are serious about buying.
You are welcome to come check it out in person.
I accept paypal or cash only .
I have photos and will answer any and all questions.
If no one is interested, the next stop will be ebay, sometime after Labor Day.
Thanks ............................................Bill
