Don't compare to 70s Guilds? I guess not, as we have been talking $1500 and less for early Westerlies. That one is very rough. My 70 has it's share of bumps and bruises, but no finish chipping at all.
LOL ha … the riffs I was playing in the video are just my own stuff. Pieces of a couple new songs I’m working on, and a couple older ones mixed in.Petty, wait, that was the Cars ;] Lol, retrieval error ;]]]
The case there looks like the usual Ess & Ess to me.Just saw this last night--again in Escondido--Victoria case? Nice it has a neck reset, but $2600? It appears it also lacks the Chesterfield.1966 Guild D40 - musical instruments - by owner - sale
1966 Guild D40. Very special guitar. You'll be impressed by how well it plays. Tuners and bridge pins aren't original. Tuners are vintage Schaller. Already had a professional neck reset in the past...sandiego.craigslist.org
Sounding good Donny! The guitar too. In this recording it sounds quite a bit like my '71 D-40. Curious what mic are you using?I used the D40 for this YouTube video here today- a bit of a better example of the sound ... also using the Ernie Ball 80/20 "Paradigm" strings and the D'Andrea celluloid Thin-Med pick, which I like best for this guitar:
Thanks- this is just my iPhone, nothing fancy.Sounding good Donny! The guitar too. In this recording it sounds quite a bit like my '71 D-40. Curious what mic are you using?
