Hi all, I’ll probably regret selling this, but here is a Hoboken made 1966 Guild D40 with original hard shell case (the case has a slight musty smell to it).

This had a neck reset last year and plays wonderfully. Action is 5/64 bass and 4/64 treble. There is a repaired crack on the bottom of the upper bout that you can see in the pictures. This occurred during the reset but was repaired at the time. Also has a bridge doctor, but everything is in order. You could probably remove it if you so desired. This is probably the lightest Guild I own at 4.6 lbs. I’m looking for $1,399 plus shipping. Feel free to ask me any questions. This was from an LTG’er and I’d love to see it go to another one.

Your pics look like the photos I just posted of my 67! (Sunny day in the yard-wise.)
To me, Guilds from the 60s are by far the best values in modern-day guitardom. Put Gibby on the headstock and triple your money.

Ths is a great sounding guitar, and I should know -- it used to be mine! I'd had it for several years but what with one thing and another (like having a roomful of other guitars to monkey with) I never got around to getting the neck reset on this one.

Heath was keen to get it taken care of, so I sold it to him.

I can't recall what I charged him for the guitar, but whatever it was, and what it cost to get the neck reset done, I suspect he may be losing money on the deal!

Thanks Glenn, you’re right! I’m either breaking even or taking a slight loss! Someone else’s gain I suppose. It’s a wonderful guitar.
