Well, I bought the 1966 Epiphone Casino E230T I mentioned in another thread. I am loving it! Unbelievably light, great electric sound, and pretty good unplugged as well. I have attached some photos below, the color is "Royal Tan", it is much lighter/"tanner" than the photos show. I tried to capture the really nice grain on the back in one of the photos as well. I paid about $1K less than any Casinos I have seen on gbase or eBay in the last few months, so I could not pass it up. The seller was trying to get rid of it. It was almost $1,500 less than this one on archtop.com, which is exactly like mine, although perhaps in slightly better shape.

The archtop.com Casino is NOT the one I bought! Mine has a few nicks on the neck and headstock, one replaced bridge piece, otherwise it is excellent, no buckle rash, frets still good, etc. I have the pickguard, but took it off for the photos, as I won't use it anyway. Serial # 406624.
Weirdly, I bought it yesterday, and went to Border's at night, and what's on the cover of Vintage Guitar magazine? The cover story is about the Beatles and their use of the Casino, with great photos. Two articles, one by Andy Babiak, the author of "Beatles Gear", and one by George Gruhn, discussing the "history" of Epiphone and the Casino. Weird coincidence, and yes, I bought the magazine!
