Let me fill in the blanks a bit here. I found this guitar on Reverb several years ago in sorry shape. I know LTG tends to land on the cleaner/stock side of guitars, but when I saw this thing I knew it had to be saved/brought back. I fell in love, conned my buddy to buy it and over the next few years he "fixed it". Fast forward a few years and I committed to buying it, but only after it got a TOM and a wrap tail option, current under the KING BASTARD plaque.

The third pickup was the better option to hide the cavern that was routed out unnecessarily years ago. So the pot setup is bridge, neck, master tone, and middle. The middle pickup can be blended in at any position. Oh and it's had a full fret job as well.

This thing is truly amazing and at a fraction of what a 63' 335 will run. Why am I selling it? Honestly, I don't know. It's stuff issues and I have too much lying around. I'm not playing it enough and I want it used.

This one has had a life and is back in amazing fashion. It plays and sounds so good. I’ve unfortunately caught my “I don’t care” bug and this is part of a fairly major selloff. I’d love for someone to love it.

$1800 plus shipping/fees

My buddy (the guy who brought it back from the EMG depths) wound them. I remember him telling me he underwound them a bit. Recently I had the bridge pickup rewound a little hotter, to keep up with the neck and middle.

So the long/short answer @fuman , the pickups are boutique/handwound.

Regarding the plaque: This is held on by magnets attached to the plastic piece. It is completely removable, which gains access to a stoptail conversion if one were to go that direction. Additionally, another plaque could be made with your own personalized message there. King Bastard is what my good friend (and tech) said when he saw it with the EMGs: "Damn, that really is the King Bastard." So we went with it as a nickname for the last few years.

That is a very slick and tasteful makeover, esp. the KB plaque. Good luck with the sale!

That is an honorable restoration! About as good as could be expected considering the horrible hack job. Good luck with the sale!

It's still around, though I left it in Nashville with a buddy. If he can find the spot in the set it'll end up on the road soon.
