From 1960-63, did they ever make a starfire 1, 2, or 3 with dual P90s?
That would be a question for the oracle from The Netherlands! My '61 is a halfway decent refin, and the chips on the back reveal light-ish colored wood (maple?) - but then I don't really know what unstained mahogany looks like.Darryl Hattenhauer said:Also, I think the starfires might never have been maple before 1964.
Well, the inside looks like maple to me, unless it's very light, very un-figured mahogany.Darryl Hattenhauer said:If you look inside the guitar at the unfinished back, you can see if its maple or mahogany, right?
Just Sayin ...Darryl Hattenhauer said:Juan, Thems ain't P90s, but they are very rare. Like a dynasonic without adjustment poles.
Those have come up before, and I really don't think they're DeArmonds - don't know if they're Guild or Hagstrom, but they're on both brands, also come with a chrome top.Darryl Hattenhauer said:but they are very rare. Like a dynasonic without adjustment poles.

Yes yes!Darryl Hattenhauer said:JP,
A hog-backed maple-top starfire would be great to have.
