I saw these on the Vintage Jazz Guitar page on FB and had to share their beauty. I much prefer the original Epiphone inspired body shape of the 1950s and early 1960s Guild X-series. I wish they had kept that silhouette instead of changing to the wider Gibson-esque body.

Wow!! As someone who does not use Facebook, thank you posting this picture! That's a great example of the different sunburst colors, or how those guitars have reacted to light/aging.

I prefer that older shape too...and the even earlier versions from the NY period.

agreed, the late 50's body silhouette is perfect. Not surprised FMIC chose that one when they prototyped that Newark Street guitars.

That said, my 175's are both early 60's and have the bigger, bulkier body, and I love them to death.
