This '58 66J sounds and works great.
It's got nice warm sound that many expect and enjoy from an amp of this period.
I frequently will scoop the mids with an EQ pedal if I want something more like a "blackface" tone and the old Jensen alnico speaker really responds well.
It's got some wear around the edges but presents well and is in very good shape for one of these.
Its basically original excepting for a few replacement filter caps as needed, a 3 prong chord and a new handle in the original style.
I have a '59 Jensen P-12P speaker installed as it provides the extra headroom that I prefer, but still have its original P-12R available.
The canvas cover is original as well.
I have a bunch of old amps and all including this one have been gone over by excellent and knowledgable tech/repairman Chris Davis of Wappingers Falls NY.
I'm asking $800 plus shipping in the continental US.
I'd REALLY prefer a local pickup for those in the Northeast who might be willing to drive over, or possibly meet somewhere halfway to save some shipping expense and me the trouble and worry of packing and shipping an old amp.
I'm in CT.
