1973 F 512 vs. 1998 JF 55-12 Background includes 1973 F50R
Notice how much lighter the '73 is. I ran out of time or I would have
rotated the 73 F5o into the mix more.
The 512 has truss rod fractures, if I can get them fixed it is a keeper
otherwise I will hold onto the JF

Interesting. I wonder how much of that is wood, how much age, and how much finish.

Would you mind posting a picture of the 512's bridge? If measuring the overall string spacing at the saddle isn't too much trouble, I'd be curious about that too.

Good luck with getting the cracks repaired -- based on what I have seen my luthier do, it should be quite do-able.
