That will be hard to find one I guess. If I see it right those are the first style Schaller M-6 according to Hans. Just the buttons are different from the picture Hans showed. Have you checked with Hans?

Why are there scratches on the body of the tuner?

Did YOU remove the cap? Or did it fall off and got lost?

Is the gear damaged? - could you take new parts from other Schaller tuner?

Good idea! Just find a similar tuner cover. Send it to GAD, he can engrave GUILD on it, (it'll give him something to do when he's bored in the middle of the night).

I don't have an engraver and I don't want to start down the rabbit hole of looking at them and deciding that I need the biggest one so I can engrave canons or something.

It doesn‘t matter and I don‘t know. I bought it this way and the tuner is working fine.
