gad is correct check pu for ohms . and again i would put a standard out put jack in their cheap and simple. check circuit for continuity.

two things u might try. wire the bridge ground to the output jack. in the old days we used to twist two wires together one for signal and one for ground put them on volume pot , singal center lug and ground right lug to pot {looking from back of pot} cap would go from center lug of vol to left...

ps by the way ceramic caps sound a little bit different from poly caps but not that much. i really think its all in the perception of what we hear. we all were given the same equiptment. yet we all hear a little different thats what makes music so much fun.

ralps rite on point. i have a suspition that a lot of electronics from back in the day used what was available. parts followed the same path ,what was available they use hence my nightbird had one plastic oblong strap lock and one metal brass one. i was told thats the way it came {who knows}

i agree with gad .cap really dont matter by the way on my guild nightbird gg model the cap is green marked jk100. if the cap in question is original it a product of availability nothing more.

hey steve did u get a chance to see which white wires go where? if u could number them as u see them in ur pictures ie switch rg lug center lug left lug any help would be appreciated . iam almost there just have the two pickup leads to go and two wires on pp. ur picture seams like the wire...

if your having a hard time finding rings find a competent wood worker and make them from mahogany . i have seen some on a less paul and they look cool////////

hey ralf sorry for crappy photos. thepp pot is a noble 15a 500k. the phase sw is a alco mtf 206n on on . lettering on sw is m8162 a+ lf 441cn 8604. hope this helps . retract from yesterdays post the pickup mentioned were jaso lollars not chris i had a corona brain fart lol
