Anyone using a wireless system for guitar or bass (non-tabletop transmitter/receiver versions, just the 2 plugs ins for guitar and amp)?

I recently acquired the Joyo JW-03 2.4GHz wireless guitar system and it works quite well. Granted, I'm using it at home with my practice amp. I did compare it directly with my cable and found no difference in sound quality. Can't beat the price. Joyo Jw-03 They also have a 5.8GHz and a...

Strap button at heel or use headstock loop......

I'm partial to #5 but #3 is good too. My F-47M came with a choice. The previous owner added the one at #4.

    Sound hole Volume/tone control Removal

I was able to remove the V/T module by gently pulling on it until it kind of popped loose. The old unit is on the left side, new one on the right. I can see and feel that the CA glue remained and whatever it is they have stuck on top of the unit is what gave way. When pulled on, the remnants...

    Sound hole Volume/tone control Removal

Yeah, using acetone on NCL does not sound like a very good idea. Fishman's instructions were to put a little wood glue on the area first to fill the pores of the wood before you install the control module. I did that as instructed. I did get advice from a luthier to use a micro saw and carefully...

    Sound hole Volume/tone control Removal

No worries. I took the D-55 off my list as I am getting it ready to sell. I just need to get this new preamp installed and tested before I list it.

    Sound hole Volume/tone control Removal

No, its's for my 2000 D-55. I installed the Fishman Matrix myself. It was an older unit I picked up used. Per Fishman's instructions I placed a drop of CA glue on the mounting pad. I've contacted Fishman to see what they have to say.

    Sound hole Volume/tone control Removal

I need some advice on how to safely remove the volume/tone control module from my D-55. It's glued in and I don't want to do something stupid. The Fishman Matrix Infinity preamp stopped turning on, so I removed it and sent it to Fishman for repair. They sent me back an entirely new unit with...

    Rattlesnake season. Lookout.

The one in the picture looks like a gopher snake, not a rattler. Don't see a rattle on the tail end. Those are good snakes.

    NGD 2007 F-47M

This is what I'm seeing. You are correct that it does not follow the grain and could just be a scratch. Definitely going to the luthier for a check up.

    NGD 2007 F-47M

GAS got the best of me, and I purchased this F-47M from GC when it showed up last week. I've been wanting an F-47 from either Tacoma or New Hartford for some time. I was somewhat surprised when I opened up the case and started examining the guitar. Seems the previous owner had the D-TAR pickup...

    Tonewood Amp

I ran across this site yesterday and am seriously considering buying one. I've looked at the Lag HyVibe system and the Vox Guiletta VGA-3D guitars. I believe there are others as well. This seems to be the trend to include effects processing with the pre-amp. This one seems to be the least...

Wear a dust mask if you do sand them as bone dust is not a good thing to be breathing.

    Bob Colosi

I bought a set of the overstock bridge pins from Bob and had a luthier install them in my JF-30. He had to ream the holes a little to get them to fit. Big improvement over the plastic pins.

    WTB Contemporary CV-2

I found this one listed on CL in northern California: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/msg/d/saratoga-trade-usa-guild-cv/7369152658.html Looks to be in very good condition and not an MIRC/used one. Might be worth investigating.

    Question about Used Guild DV6

Too high a price for a DV6. A couple of hundred more and you could get a DV-52. Ask the manager for a better price. I've negotiated with GC before to get a better deal. It's worth a shot if you really like it.

    JF-30 End pin jack removal

Got it out. Broke off the connector and slipped a 9/16th socket on the nut. The grime around the whole cleaned up nicely too. Sorry no picture of that.

    JF-30 End pin jack removal

Thanks, Ralf. Yes there is a nut inside. I can barely reach it. Maybe I can persuade my GF to give it a try. Any idea what size the nut is? I'm guessing 1/2".
