Beautiful!

And your humidity looks good - I have the same gauge!

Well, it was only gone for a little over a year, Mikey... But, yes this beauty has been around the block.

Rich C. had it set up nicely and I'll probably leave it this way.

Played it for about 1/2 an hour and enjoyed every moment. I think I'll give it some TLC after dinner and put some fresh strings on it. Oh, and by the way, her name is now Orphelia. Yeah, silly, I know. :)

It's been a solid 45% to 50% RH with the humdittifier running for the last few weeks, walrus. It's been on and off, so it hasn't been fighting really hard to keep up (yet). I've got lots of filters ready to go as the dry spells hit. :)

Oh my goodness Charlie, she's beautiful. So after all the travels, did she return to you in pretty good condition?

Yeah, she is, Jim. There's a very slight ding below the bridge on the soundboard which is hardly noticeable. Otherwise it seems perfect, Jim. Haven't given it the full treatment yet, though. Tonight is not gonna' happen. :)

I did some cleanup tonight and took a bunch of pictures of the interior as well as the exterior. I don't know how much has been shown before of the interior of an Orpheum, but the cleanliness and attention to detail during manufacture is obvious. Anyway, just FYI. The reddish color on some of these has something to do with my iPhone camera settings, but it's not real... And, I think that black piece is on the top of the neck block is the end of the truss rod (or some sort of guide for it. I'm not sure :)

Oh, @SFIV1967 , if you wish me to take any other shots of the interior let me know. I probably won't put the strings on until tomorrow.

From my observation, fabulous craftmanship. It's pretty evident it was built by people who cared. Man, 12 bridge pin holes sure allow a bunch of light into the lower bout. And that Adirondack looks beautiful inside and out. Very, very nice Chaz. Great pictures my friend.

Yea, he ended up getting a J45 and wasn't too impressed with it. It was gone in no time. Kenny was up here with that J45, which was a "Limited Edition" and wanted to leave it here a while and take my then DV73 home with him. I told him thanks, but I was good. That man IS my hero though. Spoke with him yesterday in fact.:giggle:

I think the name was Jason McIntyre, as I learned from a well known Orpheum expert here. Scottish name nevertheless …

markus :)
Yes, of course you're correct Markus. I just had a good friend, and guitar and tube amp genius by the same name pass away suddenly. He's been on my mind a lot.

To wit:

Jason Ferguson (with obligatory Guild content).

Jason McIntyre. I wish this guy was still building Orpheums. Of note, Jason is actually half Filipino, and his wife Julie is from there.

Oh gosh, I did too. We still listen to him via Soundclick occasionally. Sadly, Kenny can no longer play due to some pretty severe arthritis in his hands. He's kept his guitars though, still cleans and restrings them regularly. Such a great guy and so much accomplished in his life. Kenny is 74 now. Honestly. He's always been like an older brother to me. I spoke with for an hour and a half via phone last Thursday.

Some most memorable guitar playing (for us only I'm sure ☺️ ) took place several years ago at a Mexican restaurant right there on Canyon Lake where Kenny lives. My wife and I would go down to visit, and we'd play at the restaurant on Saturday nights. I made a couple of those, but Ken played every Saturday night for a while. Our member "RussD" met us down there one night and gosh did we have a blast. Russ is a pretty accomplished guitarist and singer.
