Let me say that my 70 D 35 pleased me when I got it back from my luthier after the reset, etc. It is the one guitar I have that continues to grow on me eight years down the road. It isn't the be all end all of guitars, just the one that seems to get played a little more than the others. I keep trying to find a $1500 guitar I like better, to no avail. I affectionately call it my beater. Those Waverly with Hoboken labels were good years. I'd still like a good 60s D 18 someday but they are different animals.
