Depends on the semantic interpretation of the usage/term. Strict constructionists would argue "No, only the <namer> can <name> somebody."While we are having fun one of the reasons for updating the Lingo FAQ is we get new members who ask about terms and this can help them.
Can a poster be Hans'd by anyone other than Hans?
But there's no escaping the verbalization school which would ascribe the <namer's> salient characteristics to the verb the <name> is used as.
What to do, what to do?
Use a name as a verb. Ultimate power.
I do believe though that I have here one of the rare examples of Hans Hansing himself, post #'s 5-8 in the linked thread:
Hello djpeyton,
Welcome!
Edit: Sorry, I was thinking the o.p. had a JF30 (after GardMan mentioned that the SNs for JF-30s in 1990 end with 1099), but it turned out to be a JF30-12, so the manufacturing date is 1991.
Sincerely,
Hans Moust
