Tick, tick, tick, Richard!!! Hoping for the best re: shipment!
Thanks, Charlie. When it's here....it's here. That's the bottom line. Anticipation!Tick, tick, tick, Richard!!! Hoping for the best re: shipment!
I have owned an Orph which I got from George Minton.Rich I have never held or played an Orpheum model. I am super jazzed for you man and can’t wait to see pics.
Wow cool !To be delivered today, an Orpheum 12 string slot head 12 fret! Can't wait. Pics to follow.
USPS is in a state of chaos. Days go by without regular mail delivery.Man, sorry to hear the guitar is floating around the Mid-Atlantic. Hopefully it arrives today in perfect shape!
That's my guess as well, Rich. I suspect it'll go to Richmond next and maybe be to you on Monday. Still crossing fingers. Aside from their slowness (and now very high price) I've always found USPS to handle the guitars well. Worth noting, no other delivery option was available, Rich. I wanted to send it Priority for 2-3 day delivery, but apparently the latest rules for box sizes precluded that. The Orph is still "in transit." Has travelled from Massachusetts, to Jersey City, NJ, then Greensboro, NC, back to Washington DC. No indication at the moment where it's going to end up next. In theory before Charlottesville, it should go to Richmond, VA's distribution center. Who knows.
I know. Chazmo kept it safe and pristine. I'm really looking forward to holding it in my lap and listening to it sing! It'll show up and it will be just fine Rich. In fact, I'm gonna say it'll be perfect!!!
Well said, but doesn't taking care of ourselves include treating ourselves to beautiful sounding instruments which we can then play for enjoyment by others, thus taking care of them, too?*Thanks everyone for the support. In the final analysis, we humans obsess too much over material things, when we should be taking care for others and ourselves.
Okay, I understand. I like beautiful sounding guitars too. I just wish my wife was more "musically oriented."Well said, but doesn't taking care of ourselves include treating ourselves to beautiful sounding instruments which we can then play for enjoyment by others, thus taking care of them, too?*
(*guitar logic).
If my wife were more guitar oriented, we would not have a dependable automobile but we would have a variety of unbelievable guitar gear!!Okay, I understand. I like beautiful sounding guitars too. I just wish my wife was more "musically oriented."
Which is why my wife drives a nice shiny 2021 while my guitar lust keeps me in my old 2008 bondo infused $#!+box. Hey, we each have our prioritiesIf my wife were more guitar oriented, we would not have a dependable automobile but we would have a variety of unbelievable guitar gear!!
