There you go, a regular La Beauceronne bass! Can you post a pic of that Pbass?
Now that is a bonny Starfire!
I have two Breedloves, an Oregon series sitka /myrtlewood dread, and an American Gold sitka / rosewood dread, love them both dearly but haven't named themI don't name them. I just call them by their model names. Or it's the Taylor, the Breedlove, or the Washburn. That's about it.
p.s. - @ruedi I love the new dog photo!!
I don't have a pic handy, but it's the same color as the front - one piece of wood. I haven't had it out in a while, and I can't remember what the truss rod situation is - I don't recall a skunk stripe. What’s the back of the neck look like?
Back in my less prosperous times (and even then I had 4 guitars) it was easy. They were the six, the 12, the classical and the electric. Now I have to get more specific, so the F50, D55, Pawless, etc. I did once have a '66 blue VW bug that somehow got hung with the name Ralph, not sure why anymore.
"Lydia" I got,
but I'm stumped about "Louise".....
When I came home one day to find my roommate (who was gonna be moving out in a week) had rescued an abandoned kitten maybe only a couple of weeks old which of course he wasn't going to take with him, I said "Yeah thanks buddy"....but while I was sitting the couch figuring out what to do it crawled up onto the back of the couch and then onto my shoulder and just perched there, and that was that.
So in the interests of raising it right, when I'd open up a can of food for dinner, which sound it learned to recognize in about 3 days, I'd also repeat the name I'd chosen for it ("Swee'pea" after the baby in the Popeye cartoons) a few times all the way to the point of putting it on the floor.
Couple of weeks later I had the opportunity to test it: Cat was "stuck" in a tree. Kept saying its name while opening a can of food, then went back inside. Sure enough, about 5 minutes later, it came prancing into the kitchen meowing, and was rewarded with dinner.
After that it'd come when I called, most times. And for about 3 months she loved to ride on my shoulder as I walked around, until she got a wee bit too big....
I had two as well. My Oregon Concert Rogue is sitka/myrtlewood (and it's blue!) and isn't going anywhere. I sold my all myrtlewood Concerto E, so now just the one Breedlove. They make such nice guitars!!I have two Breedloves, an Oregon series sitka /myrtlewood dread, and an American Gold sitka / rosewood dread, love them both dearly but haven't named them
“Every little breeze seems to whisper Louise, birds in the trees seem to Twitter Louise…”
It was the same color, too! Died in Jackson Hole, next to the snake river.
