Johnny G - how is he doing today? So great of you guys to provide him with a Guild
That guitar went to right guy
He is doing great attitude wise. Covid has created a hardship on many of his partime jobs so with no money, I know he gets a little down. He has ample food, clothing, and small electric heater. He loves winter better than summer - no bugs or creatures in his house. And Richard has given him four very nice guitars, a Roland Amp like new, strings, picks (which he doesn't use much since he is a five finger picker), mics, mic stands, and many other accessories. He still writes a song or two a month and sends them to me, I still take him anywhere he needs to go - we just try to go on a 50 degree day. My wife and I decided instead of our extra contributions to church, we would continue our normal giving but reroute the extra giving, anonymously, to Johnny G's basic needs like clothes, electric bills, and food. My guitar teacher has been in the hospital for several weeks and that has given me the opportunity to get text message lessons from Johnny and pay him for lessons. We communicate, daily.
